I've lost this posting twice. First when I went away to see how to do a link and the second time when I inadvertentlyl hit some key that took me away from the page.

I seem to have lost my edited piece again and this old piece reappears. Any way, here is the address for Terry Grant's Fusing workshop:

She uses this method for fusing the edges only.
Cool.

I learn about fiberart for a cause from Red Shoe ramblings-- and check out Deb's site on instructions for making postcards. I'd love to enter some of mine. Need to post some here for all to see. wonder if I could download them from my camera and post a few here to see how they look online. I wonder if they are professional enough to enter. I'm practicing techniques mostly, and Ilearned from Simply quilts" how to do 3-D petals the other day and tried it on a postcard immediately. I was pleased with the results. will get camera and see about posting a picture here.

OOPs, forgot to post link for making postcards from Deb's site.

I discover Pamelart as I'm browsing learning to do postcards from tutorials online already. I looooove her use of blue colors. I love her excessive quilting; I love her embellishing; I love her work. It is gorgeous. Over the top gorgeous. Her figures and faces. Amazing. And she has a tutorial too on making postcards , her postcards. WOW!

Looking at patchwork of blocks of fabric a quilter bought at the Paducah show recently set off a firing of neurons in my brain. Poetry blocks. My poetry on blocks of my favorite colors of fabric. A quilted book. An altered (doesn't look right) page sort of. Hmmmmmmm. something to think about.

And looking at another site of a painter, sculptor turned fabric artist, I see a print (looks like a wood block print) of a woman--like an icon of some sort. Reminds me of Picasso painting of a woman in some odd way. I immediately saw it as a quilt or quilt like representation. It is primitive. It is folk artsy looking. It draws me to it.

Garden idea grows. Pulled fabrics out. Decided against L.W technique, because it is mostly painting on fabric she does, then quilts. Although she does some piecing too. Will use eichorn technique partially instead. I love it and have wanted to do another like it but combined with some of Katies too. Excited about doing this. Feel that rise within that signals ---JOY.

Finished Tim's quilt. It is gorgeous. Just wish we'd seen the mispelling before transferring it to the fabric.
